After this good start, SEAT sport continued its participation in 1988 with two VW Golf WGI group in the Championship of Spain Asfalto and SEAT Ibiza twin engine and the new Marbella proto at the national land. SEAT Marbella proto, equipped with a compressor was power, 140CV won the title of champion, while Ibiza twin engine completed its activities with an absolute victory. Versioned Safari of the VW Golf WGI Salvador Serviá won two driving wheels of the international lower Aragon class in 1988.
